Business Immigration Paralegal/Legal Assistant

We have an immediate opening for a paralegal/legal assistant with at least 1 year of related experience to work on preparing non-immigrant NIV cases (E, H-1B, J-1, L, O, P, TN) and permanent resident IV cases.

Job Duties:

  • Proactively assist attorneys with client matter setup, intake, and billing
  • Organize and maintain client files, including logging case activities and calendaring meetings, hearings, deadlines, and expirations
  • Use BlueDot for case management and processing
  • Work closely with clients, primarily via email but also via phone and skype, in gathering case documents
  • Provide quality customer service to clients at all times
  • Organize large quantities of documentation for case preparation
  • Conduct research and prepare memos as needed
  • Run reports, organize databases
  • Prepare case exhibits and legal forms
  • Draft supporting letters
  • Utilize strong organizational and writing ability to compile petitions in an effective manner
  • Perform general office tasks including file preparation, scanning, and copying
  • Answer phone calls and receive clients
  • Perform other tasks as assigned


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work independently
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, especially grammar and spelling
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability in the areas of initiative, proactivity, resourcefulness, and good judgment
  • Ability to work in the USA


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1 year immigration paralegal experience (Family-based immigration knowledge and foreign language skills are very useful, but business immigration work experience is required.)
